Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition and Food Services, the Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) Supervisor is responsible for:
• scheduling and supervising staff
• supervising daily operational activities, including, food preparation, meal tray assembly, tray distribution and collection, ware-washing of all related equipment and related tray items
• ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of approved financial, human and material resources.
Requirements:
• Graduate of a certified college level Food and Nutrition Management program or equivalent
• Eligible for membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)
• Current Food Handlers Certificate
• Knowledge of relevant computer software (ie Word, Excel, Meditech)
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills (staff, patients, colleagues, volunteers and members of the community/public)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills (English language as it is the business language of SRH)
• Values consistent with SRH′s Code of Conduct
• Commitment to fostering a healthy, positive and safe work environment in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation and Policies
• Excellent work performance and attendance record
• Commitment to regular in-service education to ensure current and comprehensive understanding of SRH′s safety programs and practices including staff, patient, and environmental safety
