What you′ll be doing:

With the launch of the Love, Scarborough campaign, our organization has experienced tremendous growth. As a result, SHN Foundation is recruiting for the new position of Officer, Digital & Multichannel Campaigns.

The Annual Programs portfolio currently consists of gifts under $25,000, and is the primary acquisition funnel for donors to SHN. Reporting to the Director, Annual Programs, this role will support the activities of the direct response, monthly donors, memorial and tribute, and honour your caregiver (SHN Superstars) programs.

Although this position will help execute multichannel marketing plans and would preferably come with some experience with direct mail/print execution, we are looking for someone with strong digital marketing skills that will help expand our digital fundraising activities in the future, as well as support the digital infrastructure at the Foundation. The candidate will need strong copywriting and editing skills, with design experience being considered a strong asset.

This position requires a self-motivated individual who is willing to take on a variety of tasks. As the program grows, there will be opportunities to support a more diverse set of channels and content development. The ideal candidate is one that can adapt to the fit the needs of the program as it evolves.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the execution of direct response appeals and campaigns, including developing written and creative materials, implementing strategies to acquire new donors, managing production of direct mail, and executing conversion-based digital campaigns.
• Work with Director, Annual Programs to expand into additional potential direct marketing channels as the programs grows.
• Assist in the execution of the strategy developed by the Director, Annual Programs, and work with the Director to develop a strong pipeline of annual program content.
• Support the storytelling and creative elements of the direct response program by editing and crafting materials as required under the supervision of the Director.
• Pull post-campaign and on-demand reports, providing performance analysis and KPI analysis.
• In conjunction with the Director, Annual Programs, establish process and infrastructure standards for the digital systems that Annual Programs works in, and maintain these platforms to ensure they are functioning properly for our use. Work with the Director to assess the digital performance of the Foundation – from solicitations to social media activity to platform performance – in order to ensure we are in alignment with digital best practice.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to optimize our digital properties to ensure that they are optimized for donor experience and conversion.
• Help to design strategy and to execute emails, in coordination with other teams, to ensure proper journeys for segmented donors.
• Ensure that donor issues and inquiries are handled in a timely manner and are escalated as required.
• Maintain administrative documents, including budget and invoice documents
• Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure timelines and deadlines are met by these vendors.
• Other tasks, as required.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years working in a marketing or fundraising role, with experience in multichannel marketing. Experience in digital marketing (outside of social media) is required.
• Advanced computer skills with a working knowledge of online donation platforms (Luminate, AKA raisin, etc.), web-based content management systems, email platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, file management and transfer systems.
• Experience with google analytics, paid digital advertisement, knowledge of SEO, and search marketing best practices.
• Experience developing, deploying, and tracking email campaigns.
• Strong experience in interpreting KPIs and business analytics for fundraising and digital performance.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in Raiser′s Edge is an asset.
• Healthcare philanthropy experience considered an asset.

Your competencies include:
• Experience project managing marketing and/or fundraising campaigns.
• Proven ability to think strategically and work independently in driving new initiatives or enhancing existing programs.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and proven writing and editing skills to create both marketing/fundraising copy for multiple mediums. Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities also required.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
• Graphic design and content development experience is a definite asset.
